Hi everyone. I hope you are rocking 2024 with the joys of family and friends!
I’m in a bit of a mental fog. As such, I have made several reselling mistakes recently:
- I sold an item on Mercari that I did not have (but later found it in my "for consignment" bag 🤦♀️).
- Sold an item on eBay that had recently sold on Mercari.
- I sent the incorrect item to my Poshmark buyer. I have never sent an incorrect item to any customer ever!
You may think that I’m going to say, "Don't do this!" Meaning don't make so many freakin’ mistakes. But the real mistake would be to berate ourselves about it.
I've had a lot on my plate, including double workloads and the unexpected loss of my Mom at Christmas. It’s understandable that I may be distracted. And you might be, too - for various reasons at any given time.
But do not criticize yourself. Rectify the missteps as best you can and keep pushing ahead.

Happy weekend! How’s everybody doing? Even though we’ve hit a summer (or economic?) slowdown in reselling, I’ve had some great sales this month, including a gorgeous NWT (new with tag) pair of Gucci sunglasses that I sold through retail arbitrage. I bought these on sale at Nordstrom online and sold them on Poshmark for $200+. Posh shoppers generally like to negotiate (and some love to send lowball offers🧐), but they also are usually willing to pay more for items, especially luxury brands....
